The Association of Campus Journalists, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife (ACJOAU) has notified all registered student journalists under the body of the proposed Nigerian Union of Campus Journalists (NUCJ) convention scheduled to hold between 28th and 29th of April, 2017 at University of Ibadan.
ACJOAU enjoin all interested journalists to put down their names with any of the executives of the association.
This was contained in a release obtained by Ife City News which reads that “the convention which will birth the unveiling of NUCJ official website; unveiling of the NUCJ Patrons and advisers; 1st NUCJ Senate meeting and most importantly, the convention will be the venue for the National Elections and the Inauguration of the executives.
“All registered news agency under the umbrella of ACJOAU as a matter of urgency, are to submit names of members who are interested in vying for any position in the coming NUCJ national elections with either the President or the General secretary before 20th of April.”
Meanwhile, ACJOAU also apologised for the short notice given as regards the NUCJ national elections.
