Easter: Ile Ife Clergy Urges Residents To Promote Unity

Residents of the ancient city, Ile Ife, have been called upon to promote  unity and harmony irrespective of religious or ethnic differences.

Pastor Kunle Adebiyi of the Redeemed Christian Church Of God, Osun province II,  Ile Ife branch, made the call when addressing the Christians community  on the occasion of the Easter celebration.

He implored Christians and all residents of Ile Ife to reflect on the life of Jesus Christ and the need to follow his teachings of peace and harmony.

While wishing all residents in the town a happy Easter celebration, he further urged the Christians to use the period to reach out the followers of other religions in order to engender love and harmonious co-existence.

He advised Christians to shun flamboyant lifestyles during Easter period so as to reflect on the importance of the season.

Adebiyi urged parents and guardians to celebrate the festivity according to their capacity, not borrowing to buy either food or drinks and admonished the residents to imbibe the moral values of moderation and decent lifestyles in all their endeavours.
