A Magistrate Court, sitting in Ile-Ife on Friday remanded one Femi Ajayi, 30, in prison custody over alleged fraud.
The Prosecutor, Sgt Sunday Osanyintuyi, told the court that the accused committed the offence sometimes in year 2014 at Ido-Osun area, in Ile-Ife.
Osanyintuyi said that the accused collected cash sum of N17, 000 from one Funmilayo Oyetade, under false pretense that he will plaster her house which he refused to do.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to one-count-charge of fraud.
The prosecutor stated that the offence was contrary to and punishable under section 419 of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol 11, Laws of Osun, 2002.
Magistrate Dorcas Ajiboye granted the accused bail sum of N200,000 with one surety in like amount.
Ajiboye added that surety must swear to affidavit of means, resides within the court jurisdiction, produce two recent passport photographs of accused and sureties with three years tax clearance.
But unfortunately, none of his family shown up and no counsel stood up to perfect his bail condition, therefore he was remanded in prison custody till perfection of bail condition.
The case was adjourned to April 26, for hearing.
