Ife Court Remands Woman For Defaulting Bail Condition

A 45- year- old woman, Mrs Adeyemo Deborah was on Friday arraigned before an Osun State Magistrate Court sitting in Ile- Ife for not fulfilling financial obligations attached to her bail granted by the court.

Police prosecutor, Sergeant Sunday Osanyetoye told the court that the accused person has never paid any money to the complainants since January.

The accused person was said to have been granted bail of N400,000 since January.

Debora in her reaction however said she was unable to pay any amount because the surety who was her husband had divorced her.

When contacted by her husband, he said he did not divorce her wife because of the money, but he divorced her because of her non challant behavior.

In his ruling, Magistrate Olamilekan Ijiyode ordered that the bail to be revoked and ordered that she should be remanded in prison custody.

He however adjourned the case to 24th April, 2017.
