The Chief Imam of ile ife, Shaykh Abdul Samii Abdul Hamid has urged the Nigerians to support and celebrate the numerous achievements recorded in the anti-corruption fight of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The Chief imam made the call on Friday when addressing the congregation at the central mosque during Jumuat service in Ile Ife.
He said that records have shown that many corrupt leaders have been charged to courts while majority of their assets have been seized which are unprecedented since 1999.
He lamented that corruption has negatively affected the lives of many Nigerians and derailed national economic, social and infrastructural development.
According to the Chief Imam, all hands must be on deck in the fight against corruption in the country to tackle corruption in the country adding that through president Buhari, corruption has reduced drastically in the country last two years.
He however called on Nigerians to intensify prayer for sound health for president Buhari to enable him succeedsin delivering the much needed dividends of democracy.
