18-year- old, man , Tunde Dayo was on Thursday arraigned before an Ile -Ife magistrate court I for stealing a mobile phone (Techno W4) valued N25,000.
The police prosecutor, Sergeant Sunday Johnson told the court that the accused stole the phone of one Miss Olajire Amina on March 13, 2017 in Ile –Ife, within the jurisdiction of the court.
Police prosecutor explained that the offence contrary was to section 383 and punishable under section 390(9) of the criminal code cap 34 laws of Osun State 2003.
When the one count charges was read to the accused, he pleaded not guilty.
The complainant, Miss Olajire Aminat appealed to the court to return her phone to her because she is in need of it.
In her ruling, the presiding Magistrate, Mrs Dorcas Ajiboye granted the accused bail with the sum of N50,000 with one surety which must be one of his parents, with two passports photograph each from the accused and the parent.
She ordered that the phone should be returned to the complainant and must be brought to the court back on the day of the case hearing.
She however adjourned the case to April 27th 2017 for hearing
