OAU English Student, Oyeleke, Emerges Most Influential Student

A final year student of Department of English, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Sodiq Oyeleke has emerged as the most influential student in Nigeria.

This was contained in the release by the organiser of Outstanding Students Category Award of Recognition (OSCAR), Nigeria, that Sodiq Oyeleke from OAU with the voting HKM who was nominated under the category of most influential Student won the award.

Sodiq who was the former Amir of Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ) Lagos and former President of National Association of Students of English and Literary Studies (NASELS OAU) has bagged many student awards as an undergraduate student of OAU.

He was nominated as one of the most influential student at his class award in 2013, He was rated one out of the 100 students that shaped OAU in 2014, Sodiq Oyeleke emerged as OSCAR Nigeria student journalist of the year in 2015.

In 2016, Seal Magazine rated him as most influential after the then OAU Students’ Union President and also appeared in OYA magazine’s 20115  as most outstanding students in media list.

Sodiq has however emerged as OSCAR  most influential student in Nigeria.

According to the release the award ceremony will take place on Sunday, 1st of October 2017 at Lekki Astoria, Lagos.
