Fear Grips Moremi Hall Residents Over Strange Man Night Movement

The residents of Moremi Hall, Obafemi Awolowo University, are currently exercising fear over  last  two days alleged suspicious night movement of an unidentified person suspected to be a man.

A witness who spoke with IFE CITY NEWS  but preferred not be named narrated that  a man was seen at Moremi  hall,  moving in a very suspicious manner around 3am which is against the norms and rules of the university.

“The man was noticed along the corridor of Block D, first floor by one of the occupants of the floor,  man was carrying a big backpack and was walking at a very fast pace along the corridor towards the end of staircase.

“He was followed but he ran through the bush at the back of the block where he later climbed and jump over the fence.”

The residents said the suspect escaped through the corridor of Block C and D of the hall wich was not lightened and appealed to the university maintenance department to fix the light on the affected blocks for the safety and security of the students.

The incident has however been reported to  the President, Students’ Union, Oyekan Ibukun,  and promised to look into the matter.
