Man Docked in Ife for Stealing 5 Laptops

Osun State Magistrate Court II, sitting in Ile Ife docked a-24 year-old man, Oluwadele Adeyemi for allegedly stealing Five Computer Laptops.
Police Prosecutor, Inspector Innocent Ade, told the court that the accused committed the offense at Mayfair area in Ile Ife contrary to section 255 and punishable under section 456 Criminal Law of Osun State.
According to the complainant, Mr Abiodun Etti said the accused stole the computer laptops in his shop at Mayfair.
“The accused came to buy something from my shop, I went to look for other denominations to balance the accused for what he had paid for, before I look back, the accused took 5 computer laptops into his car and ran away. He was apprehended before he could get away with the stolen laptops. ’’
The counsel to the accused, Mr Ola Ibrahim, however, pleaded with the court to grant his client bail since investigation into the matter was still ongoing.
He assured the court that his client would not jump bail.
Ibrahim said that he would ensure that his client always attend the court hearings.
The presiding Magistrate, Olamilekan Ijiyode granted bail to the accused in the sum of N200, 000.
He said that the accused must produce two sureties whose tax payment should be verified and adjourned the case till June 26th, 2017 for further hearing.
