Ife Varsity Medical Students’ Association (IFUMSA), Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile- Ife today organized seminar mental stability development in Nigeria.
The seminar has in attendance, Provost of the College of Health Sciences represented by the Deputy Provost, Professor Aboderin, Prof. Ijadunola, the Dean of the Faculty of Clinical Sciences, Professor (Mrs) Adegbehingbe, among other academicians in medical profession.
Dean, Clinical Sciences, Prof. (Mrs) Adegbehingbe in his address said on of the best way to relive minds and stable meantally is to share taught and ideas with people.
He said those who shares their grief and challenges has better chance to sable mentally.
The Guest Speaker, Dr. Akinsulore, Department of Mental Health, in his keynote address said depression contribute to mental challenges substantially saying many psychological challenges mostly start with depression.
He maintained that the issue of depression should be taken seriously, as it is the first sign of a psychological challenge.
He charged students present during the program to always feel free in discussing academic challenges with the lecturers in the college.
