OAU Students Experience Hitches Over Online Payment

Some students of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife have been faced with different challenges over the payment of fees online.

Despite several complains to the bank and the university authority, many students still find the payment hard to reflect on their academic portal and preventing them from registering.

Affected students informed IFE CITY NEWS that sometimes they are getting pending  response while there are being deducted after an unsuccessful transaction.

One of the victims, complained to have paid through Guarantee Trust Bank Master Card, Tunde Ashaolu, expressed displeasure over his unpleasant experience in an interaction with our reporter.

He said: “I made my school fees payment through the ATM at the first week of May, 2017 in order to register my courses for the semester without delay but as it stands now, the payment is yet to be confirmed.

“Both the school and bank claimed to have rectified the problem but yet, it has not reflected on my portal. I have only been attending classes that I am yet to register for its courses.

Another student, Ige Fashanu lamented that it has been difficult for him to clear the bed space allocated  to him by the management a  week  ago as a result of the hitches experiencing on the online payment.
