OAU Professor Bags Humanitarian Award

A Professor of Economics, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Professor Abayomi Adebayo was honoured with a humanitarian award by the Federated Union of Modakeke Students (FUMS) National headquarter during the weekend.

Prof. Adebayo , a former Head of OAU Economics Department  was honoured for his support to the members of FUMS in the university.

The varsity don who appreciated the union for the award cautioned the student against social vices in the university and urge them to be good ambassador of Modakeke.

He said “I appreciate you all, I have so much interest in the Modakeke youths and I advise the students not to forget where they are born. Modakeke remains their home.”

“There are so many opportunities everywhere. I enjoy you to hook up with your studies and also promise to always be of good assistance to the union”, he said.

Dignitaries at the event includes: His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Francis Olatunji Adedoyin; Ogunsua of Modakeke, Alhaji Fatai Kolawole, Permanent Secretary, Osun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Mr. Dexion Amola; Chairman of Ife North East LCDA,  Otunba G. A Adeyemi Ale, Prince Oyetunde Oyesiji and Alhaji K. L. Olanrewaju among others.
