The students of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife fought dirty at the last Friday congress that held in Amphitheater of the University.
The congress which started with the Great Ife anthem ended in kerfuffle as congress was inconclusive.
The President of the Union, Oyekan Ibukun presided over the congress which accommodated several submissions on issues affecting the generality of students.
Among the issues brought to the fore was the controversy surrounding the new union bus as congress members insisted that the President should step aside to allowing fair trial arguing that he cannot be the judge in his own case.
While some insisted that the president should step aside and allow congress to nominate a neutral student to preside, other students opposed such proposal at the congress.
The congress ended in a disgraceful manner as students stampeded the podium to stop President from what they term “irregularities” and shouted “ole” on him as he was rushed out by the allegedly dissolved security committee of the Union.
Students later gathered at the SUB to register their displeasure over the inconclusive Congress.
