Senator Iyiola Omisore , former Deputy Governor of Osun State, has called on Nigerians to promote qualities that will foster national unity in tackling myriads of problems confronting the country.
Omisore said this in an exclusive interview with Ife City News during a program organised by Oduduwa University in memory of late Oba Okunade Sijuade at Agbo Odeyemi hall, in Ile Ife.
He urged Nigerians to remain patriotic to national cause to foster better integration.
He advised the citizenry to restrain from acts and utterances that could lead to the country’s disintegration.
He urged Nigerians, irrespective of tribe and religion, to always emphasise issues that will unite the country.
Omisore who hailed the qualities of late Ooni Sijuade, described him as an architect of peace, harmony and equality.
According to him, the late monarch was an epitome of humility, man of valour, and a passionate custodian of Yoruba tradition.
He also described him as an elephant whose might and influence gone beyond the shore of Nigeria.
