OAU SU Welfare Committee Facilitates Subsidised Transportation for Students

As students of Obafemi  Awolowo University, Ile Ile round up their examination for the semester, the welfare committee of the University has provided transportation Scheme for students at subsidised rate.

This was contained in a statement made available to IFE CITY NEWS signed by the Chairman and the Secretary of the committee, Ajiboye Adekanmi and Akomolafe Jide respectively.

According to the release “the welfare committee of the Union having noticed the various risk and challenges our students face when traveling back home which most time our students go through challenges of extortion, harassment and other forms of risk which has been bothering us as concerned and committed Welfare Committee members. We have resolved into having a transportation scheme to convey our students home for the semester break.

“With regards to these, arrangements have been made for buses to convey our students going to Lagos State, Ibadan, Ekiti, and Akure.

They buttressed that with the transportation scheme undue stresses, extortion and insecurities are expected to be out of place.

Meanwhile, all interested students going to the earlier mentioned places are expected to book a seat by kindly sending a text message of interest to the Secretary of the Welfare Committee (08102620712) stating Name, Faculty/Department, Destination and Date of movement.
