The Welfare committee of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, students union has pleaded with the students of the institution to register at the university Health Centre.
In release made public by the committee, heath centre registration is in the best interest of the students especially in the cases of emergency.
Part of the release read: “Having resolved to advocate for better health welfare on campus, the health welfare sub unit of the welfare committee have looked into the registration at the health centre.
“We discovered that so many students are yet to be registered. The Chief Medical Director of the Health Centre in a meeting with us made us aware of the dangers of not registering at the Health Centre which are avoidable”
“For proper medical care, there is need for history taking and assessment and this can only be effective when students are registered at the health centre. It makes the medical practitioners work efficiently.
“It takes just 10-15minutes. Once you have your medical records, you then proceed to the general office and you will be registered in due time.
“With the reason above, the committee therefore implored all students of Obafemi Awolowo University to proceed to the health centre and get registered.”
