A United State (US) based Fuji Musician; Mr Fatai Akanbi is set to storm Ile-Ife on the second day of Ileya Festival, 2nd September, to dedicate an album “Olorin Oba Album” for Ooni Of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan at the Oni’s palace.
In an exclusive interview with Ife City News, Akanbi described music as a very strong element of passing information, saying that the album is to pass a lot of messages as regards the position of the Ooni of ife
“The Ooni of Ife, His imperial Majesty Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi is the 51st Ooni of Ife, on the throne of the legendary Oduduwa, progenitor of the Yoruba race. Ojaja 2, the Ooni of Ife has always displayed untiring wisdom. And has touched base with his people given his humanitarian activities which have transformed many lives both within and outside Ile Ife”
“He is a successful businessman, a community leader, a philanthropist and a Nigerian of impeccable repute. Africa as a whole, the Yoruba race, globally, cannot but be proud of a monarch who, by all right and standard , is truly a highly distinguished 21st century monarch by any measure or parameter. His reign holds lots of prospects for our country as the traditional institution, a king of uncommon birth, unusual successes and one that is a great asset to our fatherland.” he said.
The former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Governor of Osun State, Mr Rauf Aregbesola, Ooni’s Queen, Olori Wuraola Ogunwunsi, and many others dignitaries and top politicians are set to grace the day.
Ooni Ogunwunsi who is the royal father of the day had fixed the date to be the second day of Ileya Festival.
