Law Students of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, this week made history another global history, as the university delegation won the Spirit of the Competition Award at the 4th International Negotiation Competition in Delhi India.
The International Negotiation Competition (INC) organised by the National Law University (NLU), Delhi and Herbert Smith Freehills (HSF), a prestigious international commercial Law Firm headquartered in the United Kingdom had participants from about 50 Universities across the world .
After an intense competition with teams from Princeton; Oxford University; Kings College, London; and Rhodes University, South Africa and 28 other Universities, the team from OAU pulled off with this “Spirit of the Competition Award being the first University to participate at the INC from Nigeria.
According to the organisers, this symbolises the team that best approximates the ideals of negotiations spirit and diversity.
OAU team comprises of -OJ Ayansola, Great Oyiki, Oyewale Faith Bamise.
OAU team Advisor Mr. M A Lateef , expressed his joy over the team’s victory, saying : “I could not have wished for any better team at this time. We are all proud of you guys. We are all proud going back home highly spirited, energised and better enlightened in this aspect of knowledge”.
