The Nigerian Economics Students’ Association (NESA), Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, chapter, is set to hold her annual economics students.
The event is scheduled to hold on 25th and 26th of October at Oduduwa Hall of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.
According to the release made available to IFE CITY NEWS, signed by Folorunsho Oluwatoyin Akani, the Head of Media for the local organising committee, he said this year’s conference promises to be unique as OAU campus will be stormed by students from different universities across Nigeria.
The speakers, Niyi Yusuf; MD, Accenture, Akeem Oyewale; Director of Stanbic IBTC, Segun Ogubsanya; MD, Airtel, and Gloria Raji; Senior Economist, World Bank among others will be discussing: “The Prospects for Economic Development in Africa – The Role of Finance and Technology”.
He further buttressed that also in between the conference, there will be a business plan challenge, paper presentation, networking session with speakers and other interesting packages.
When asked by IFE CITY NEWS whether students from other departments can attend the conference, he replied that “the annual economics students conference is for everyone regardless of department. As we all face the same economic conditions, then let’s discuss the economy”.
