The police on Tuesday arraigned a 29 year-old man, Adio Abraham, in an Ile-Ife Magistrates’ Court for stealing a Techno Cell Phone.
Abraham is being tried on charges of stealing and impersonation.
The Prosecutor, Insp Monday Ojiezele, told the court that the accused committed the offence around 12 p.m at Focus Model College, Ile-Ife on Sept 22 Ojiezele said the accused stole one Tecno Tab Handset and N154,000 cash all property of Oluwatimilehin Emmanuel and Taofeek Adepoju,respectively.
He further told the court that the accused was facing a charge of impersonation because he presented himself to the complainants as a pathologist.
Abraham pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Magistrate, Mrs Risikat Olayemi, granted bail to the accused in the sum of N250,000 with two sureties in like sum.
Olayemi said that one of the sureties must be a blood relation and a civil servant not below grade level 06.
He said the surety must deposit his last promotion letter, while the second surety, must reside within the court’s jurisdiction, show evidence of three years tax clearance certificate to the court’s registrar.
Olayemi said the accused should be remanded in prison till he meets his bail condition and adjourned the case till Nov 10 for hearing.
