Groups of women, men, and residents of Ile Ife, under the aegis of Accord Party in their large numbers on Thursday afternoon staged a mass rally in support of a councilor aspirant, garage Olode ward in Ife South, State of Osun, Hon. Blessing Adeleke.
The group who stormed the major road leading to Ife South were seen carrying various placards with inscriptions such as “Accord for 2018, “Hon Blessing is our gallant leader,” among others.
They were seen marching down from Enuwa road down to Garage Olode singing solidarity songs in support for their candidate.
According to a leader of the Party, Hon Joshua John while speaking to our correspondent on behalf of the party, described the aspirant as an astute leader and a man of great achievement whose legacy will be forever celebrated.
He said the campaign is to show their support for him in the coming election.
“We are proud to have benefitted immensely from him. His love for Ife south is undeniable and visible to everyone one to see”
“We are blessed to have him and will always be with him all the way. We commend his profound contribution over the years in various fields of endeavour”
“Ife south will continue to pray almighty God to grant him sound health and many more years on earth. We pray the good Lord to continue to use him for the development of the town and Osun at large,” he said.
