The Obafemi Awolowo University’s department of Architecture has reinstated its students’ association, Ife Architecture Students’ Association (IFASA) after it was suspended last session due to misconduct by the students.
The association was suspended for misconduct by the students and an investigative panel was set up by the department to look into the matter.
However, in a circular released by the department recently, the suspension was lifted and transitional guidelines were given.
“Following the recommendations of the Departmental Investigation and Disciplinary Panel which investigated the activities of IFASA and IFASA executives in 2017/2018 session and the last two preceding executives, the department hereby lifts the suspension on IFASA and the activities related to the association, with effect from June 14, 2019.” This circular read.
The circular also spelt out the guidelines for the transition including finances and handing over process.
