As Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan, residents, tourists, top politicians and well meaning Nigerians stormed the ancient city of Ile Ife on Saturday for the annual Olojo festival,
Our correspondent tour on Saturday indicated that various socio- economic and traditional activities were at their peak to usher in a hitch free festival.
Decorations adorn the length and breadth of the Ooni’s palace in Ile- Ife with traditional worshipers offering prayers for a successful and hitch free festival.
Several tourists thronged the ancient town to witness the annual festival, as they were seen taking pictures at Ooni’s palace and beside the statues and structures of symbolic of the Ifa temple.
Security personnel, comprising of officers and men of the Police, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, the Federal Road Safety Corps were also present to ensure security at the event.
Traders and residents of Ile Ife took advantage of the festival to display their wares while food vendors, souvenir sellers, photographers among others, made brisk business.M
Motorists, hotel managers and other business men and women who sell their goods and services within Ile Ife commended the efforts of Ooni for doing this year Olojo festival as they sell greatly.
